Health Tip: Taking a Mental Health Day

(HealthDay News) — Taking a mental health day allows you to care for your mental health, something that’s often overlooked, the Gooden Center says.

Here are the center’s signs that you may need a mental health day:

  1. You are struggling with mental issues that are affecting your ability to work.

  2. You feel distracted or have trouble focusing.

  3. You are postponing health care appointments for work.

If you cannot take a mental health day, the Gooden Center says you should try to reduce stress in other ways — such as by meditating for 15 minutes or exercising.
